The Japanese taikotradition is a powerful mix of rhythm, enthusiasm, movement and inspiration. Taiko is a group activity during which each individual player's shortcomings in rhythm or playing technique are more than compensated by the combined group effort.

Our taiko programme makes sure that every group can give a fantastic taiko performance at the end of the workshop. A succesful taiko team demands mutual support, commitment, trust and enthusiasm : the exact same principles needed for a succesful business team.

Taiko is a new experience for all and can be played by everyone, regardless of musical talent, age or physical ability.

It is perfectly possible to bring a taikopiece with a group of absolute beginners after a workshop of only 1,5 hours.

The basics of taiko are taught in a relaxed and informative way, and we also pay attention to the underlying philosophy which is close to many other Japanese martial arts (respect, group feeling, awareness,..)

• Step by step instruction on how to play taiko according to our Shizen-method (Shizen = natural).
• Promoting the unity of the group during fun drumming exercises.
• Having your team realise they can go from zero knowledge to performing a dynamic taiko piece 'onstage' in a few hours time.
• Translating this knowledge to the workplace.

Specific programmes can be created for groups from 5 to 100+ participants, from one hour to several days of drumming instruction culminating in a dynamic performance.
